Default ARTICLE: Dillian Whyte teases Anthony Joshua rematch has been agreed

Dillian Whyte claims he will soon announce his next opponent amid reports the heavyweight contender will fight Anthony Joshua at Wembley in April.

Eddie Hearn made an improved offer to Whyte as the hunt for Joshua’s next opponent drags on.

Joshua is scheduled to fight on 13 April, but has struggled to convince the likes of Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder to come to the negotiating table.

Whyte remains the frontunner to fight Joshua, but publicly hit out at his own promoter, Hearn, after receiving the first offer to stage the rematch with his old rival.

Joshua knocked Whyte out in their pro encounter in 2015, and the Bodysnatcher teased fans on Instagram he was ready to confirm his next ring appearance.

He said: ‘Next fight announcement coming real soon can’t wait to get back in the ring it’s been to long.’

While Hearn insists fighters are asking for crazy money to fight Joshua, Whyte held talks with rival promoters as he considered axing Matchroom.

Joshua told Whyte last December he was next in line should Wilder and Fury turn down his offer.

Wilder and Fury are set to stage their own rematch in Las Vegas after their controversial draw in Los Angeles last December.

It is believed Joshua is weighing up whether to stick with his Wembley date or scrap the fight night and take on Jarrell Miller in New York in the summer.

Wembley stadium’s social account added to the speculation surrounding Joshua’s next fight, by revealing there would be an announcement on Monday.
