he is getting married on my birthday in thailand. he is 50 & his future wife is 27. he use to own 3 strip clubs here in alberta for 12 years. he sold his clubs & bought a bar & bungalo in hua hin(2hrs south of bangkok). he met his girlfriend there & sold his bar & bought a rice farm in the mountains away from the tourist towns. he built a nice house & has her entire family looking after the rice farm. i have never seen him happier. we keep in contact a few times a month. he has been trying to get me to come there for several years now but he knows i like cuba so he doesn't get on me too much. i'm thinking of going but not sure yet. i have never been to thailand & it sounds like a good place for adventure, history & entertainment. i would have to put cuba on hold if i choose to go. i will think long & hard about it the next coming months. i'd have to at least spend no less then 3-4 weeks there...
