  • Prime Joe Louis vs...

    The following prime fighters

    Sonny Liston
    Evander Holyfield
    Lennox Lewis
    Ken Norton
    Ezzard Charles
    Rocky Marciano
    Ike Ibeabuchi
    Chris Byrd
    Archie Moore

(Prime Joe Louis from the second Max Schmeling fight era against these guys)

Ike/ Lewis and Holyfield certainly beat him. Byrd would in all likleyhood out box him,and Marciano would beat him 50% of the time.,in a toss up fight

    Liston/Norton I would have 2 to 1 favorites.

He could beat Ezzard that's believable as is Moore who would be the only guy I could certainly say he should defeat.

Louis was good technition for his time, the slow footwork and defensive holes would make most of these match ups difficult for him to win against.Out of everyone there, Lewis would be the biggest mismatch. His over hand right would annihilate Louis not if but when it would land,it was the easiest punch to hit Louis with. The 6'5 83 inch arm span would make it such an unfair fight Louis would need a baseball bat to make it a even fight.
