Most top clubs have to overspend for basic transfers anyways. How many times did Everton tell Chelsea no? Exactly. So I don't want to hear it unless you see a team spend literally a billion on transfers for a whole new starting XI like United has.
So yeah, Chelsea spent 30+ million on Batshuayi but how much did Liverpool pay for Mane again?
Just admit that y'all can't get it done. Don't use the money excuse when Liverpool is worth 1.05 billion pounds.
As for the bit in bold....that best be you trolling. Without Chelsea literally spending a billion on transfers for a whole new starting XI/squad in the last decade you'd have never heard of them!

Liverpool buy and nurture young talent like suarez for a bargin 18m.. and turn him into the worlds best player
Chelsea spend 30 odd m on a 4th striker like pedro or mutu.. and splash 50 odd million on a defender they s9ld the year before.. total different calibre of club..
Oh and Liverpool at least try to keep somewhat British players

Southampton nurture young talents and than sell them to Liverpool for a kings ransom

Cannot believe we didn't win that game on Saturday. Should've been at least 3-0 up and Chelsea down to 10 before the equaliser. 9/10 times that game ends 4/5-0.
Pep had his tactics spot on, not sure why he's getting flak on here. For the majority of the game Chelsea were completely outplayed in every position without a shot on target and we were creating regular clear cut chances to kill the game. We played better in that first hour than we did against Barca.
The Aguero tackle was a shocker fair play. Ref was an absolute embarrassment though, Luiz in the first half was a pretty clear cut red and then Fabregas got off with a slap on Fernandinho before he retaliated!
Wasn't even impressed with Chelsea, thought we controlled the game pretty comfortably before some **** defending from balls over the top allowed them in. Pretty average side on a good run imo, would've been on the end of a slapping if Aguero/KDB hadn't missed sitters.

Liverpool has money to compete and spend.
Chelsea bought Willian for 30m. Liverpool bought Firmino for 29m.
Chelsea bought Costa for 32m. Liverpool bought Mane for 36m.
They have money to compete and spend. Liverpool simply rather buy from Southampton and the "diamond in the rough" type of players.
