  • Mourinho and Juve definitely made a weekend of football where Chelsea lose. Not disappointing.

**** that, I find it comical that an ex Serie A coach oversaw a win over United whereby 2 ex Serie A players combined to lethally dick United it's hilarious because of the hatred and phobia the majority of this thread has of anyone from another league.

On a serious note, Mourinho is finished. His teams are too easy to play against. 4231 for the past decade, ultra defensive counter attack style, doesn't know what to when his teams are rock bottom and wants his flair players to become defenders. You can't get away with playing the same system with the same kind of players for so long.

And Pereyra is wasting his time at Watford. Such a tidy player with an abundance of stamina, experience and great football IQ. He should be at a bigger club.

      • The amount of excuse making and molly coddling Rooney gets from pundits is getting ridiculous. Why cant they just call it like they see it? He is not a good player at this moment in time. He shouldn't be in the United team and imo he shouldnt be in the england team. His first touch and passing is a liability

          It is true.

There was one point today were Shaw passed to him. It wasn't a great pass like but he should have been able to keep it in at least but it ran out. He runs around a lot but he hadn't got the juice when he actually gets the ball.

He just is not a midfielder either. I have always maintained that Rooney isn't even a no10 he is an orthodox no9. But at the end of the day he is passed his best now and there is a lot of soul searching going on because of that because he was the one class England player for years.

Nobody even has the appetite to make key figures out of players like Jordan Henderson whose goal the other night might as well have been scored by Simon Mignolet because it is simply not in his locker.

I can see why people cut Rooney some slack tbh. There are still flashes. Aside from that we are not miles away from England having to pick players from the Championship.

The next great hopes from Spurs looked dreadful too.

          • We look ****ing mint.

            Sterling looks mustard.

Pep stamping his style down all over the gaff, beautiful to watch.

            • Fernandinho is still criminally underrated, it's rare that anyone actually discusses him.

Been one of the best 2/3 CMs in the league for a few seasons, understandable that Kante got all the praise last year at Leicester but Fernandinho has been better than him for ages.

              • Fernandinho ran right through us years ago for Donetsk.

He has had some pretty significant dips in his career though. He was hopeless at the world cup for example.

The ginger prince looks superb. Looking like the biggest mistake of Chelsea's history although it is hard to see how it plays out any other way. KDB has obviously done a lot of growing up since then but he was a little ***** back then.

That said that is Mourinho again for you. Always leaves teams significant weaker. Lukaku and De Bruyne - what is that £200 million pounds worth of a footballer or something.

Be interesting to see how he decimates Man United.

I can't see Conte doing that. Hope Chelsea back him to the hilt even if we have another poor season. That Liverpool game was an eye opener and with Leicester and Arsenal to come we could feasibly start losing every week again.

Happy for Sterling tbh. The amount of abuse that kid has been getting since he signed for City has been totally unwarranted. Glad he's shutting people up.
