I have to say, stupidity as of late has really reached an artistic level in this place. Between NSB and how now everyone can beat Mayweather, and these threads, it's becoming an art form.

I think we should focus on the Billion dollar subsidies given to millionaire farmers every year, or the billions of dollars wasted on defence equipment that never sees the light of day or the trillions of dollars used to bail out speculative bankers that tried to sink the worlds economy before we turn our attention to America's miserly welfare programs that are in place to help desperate, vulnerable people.

Two [or three] wrongs don't make a right. Farmers are perfectly capable of producing food without paper money being given to them. Lets get rid of that. The federal govt spends over 900 billion on social programs/welfare every year. Lets get rid of that. If compared...Bailouts are a fraction of that...and unless you're in favor of a different monetary system that doesn't rely on a Central bank being the 'lender of last resort', you should enjoy the govt eroding your moneys purchasing power.

In conclusion...all the Federal Govt really needs to do [per the constitution anyway] is have a military and keep the Canadians on their side of the border. A leaner defense budget....YES absolutely. But wasteful spending on equipment as you put it, does not compare to almost a trillion spent on welfare.
