Why would he move up when there are still fights for him at 160?

This is how I see it:

    1. KO Daniel Jacobs in November/December.

    2. KO BJS in February/March.

    3. KO Eubank Jr in April/May.

    4. KO Canelo is September.

After this he will have racked up $10+ million, broken the middleweight title defence record, hold all 4 recognised sanctioning body world titles and increased the status of his resume. He will no doubt be the greatest middleweight of all time after this. THEN he can move up and fight bigger guys.

Yeah, not too strong at middleweight, not experienced at middleweight..not a completely different frame and weight as in gaining 15lb of muscle in two months (impossible naturally )..Was Nunn **** because a 5 7 Starling pushed him to a majority ? No of course not,and they really we're divisions apart.

Seriously? Are you that ignorant about Floyd?

Lesson: Floyd won his first title at 130, 2 years after debuting, and went as far as 154 and won four titles, along the way beating Hall of Famers and ATGs.

        Now, what's Golovkin done?

Why the F**k would he want to fight at 175 - Brook moved up 2 weight division for MONEY!!!

GGG's money fight is at 160 against Canelo

Marvin Hagler never moved up in weight - so what's the need to move up in weight for!!!!

I have no issue with GGG moving up to 168 once he fights and beats canelo - but where is the money fight at 168 - Degale is not bad in the UK but there is no one in that division that makes sense moneywise! Even 175 is not great with money - Ward has never been a star moneywise and Kovalev continues to fight in his opponents backyard!

there is no obsession....look at the history of great fighters below heavyweight.....Majority of all the greats, especially the modern ones moved up

for every hagler that didn't, there are middleweight champions that did like Michael Nunn, Toney, Tiger, LaMotta, Robinson, Hearns, Leonard.

Or Monzon....he didn't but....Mickey Walker, Hopkins, Jones, and many others did as well

its not like 160 is loaded with talent and if he cant get the fights he wants at 160, common sense says move up and go after the best at 168

In 2009, Floyd had Marquez move up to a CW 142 to fight him.
Just one year before, JMM had fought Pac at 130.
FM then decided he'd pay Marquez 600k rather than weigh in at 142.
Floyd is not a fighter who comes to mind when we mention risk.
Except for the time he went up to fight Castillo in his first fight at Lightweight. Or the time when he went up to fight Oscar at Super Welterweight. And then the time he went up to fight Cotto at Super Welterweight. And also, the time he went up to fight Canelo @ 152! Other than that, I guess he didn't take risks.

I've seen pics showing people looking closer in height than what they are.Kovs a good 6 1 ,about 190 to Gs 172..G and Brook inch different height ,same weight..unless you believe in gaining 15lb of muscle in two months..if you do I got some stuff to sell ya.So a bigger task for G still no?

I don't disagree that he'll move up, but not now. Moving up 2 divisions is not something you suddenly decide to do. That's not how it works. That's a conscious decision from which there's no turning back - not for a guy in his mid 30s.

When he moves up, that will mean he's done with MW - he's leaving all MW possibilities behind him.

This guy is fasssst becoming the clown of boxing...154-168 for big fights, ward/canelo (biggest fights possible) he ducks, he spoke bad about canelo for fighting khan, because of his weight, then he pulls a guy up TWO weight classes...then for the last month or so, he's been crying about wether canelo will face him or not, come to find out he already has and had the offers on the table to fight Canelo, but his dumb ass fans...lol they were sitting here arguing for him when we find out he was LYING AGAIN...He has the offer on the table to fight Canelo for more than he's EVER MADE...and he hasnt signed, he really doesnt want that work, what do all of his fans tell others when there is a contract on the table...sign it and make more later after you win, because then you'll be the superstar and make more later. But not with little bity g, other fighters, "move up and take challenges", not lil bity g, stay there and fight smaller guys, Mayweather moved up from 130, Pac from even a lower weight, Cotto, moved up, even Canelo moved up, Roy Jones Jr went all the way to heavyweight, b-hop, tarver, evander holyfield, Ward (oops i probably scared little one off mentioning
Ward) who moved up and will face Kovalev, but not this bumlover....the list goes on and on, of those great ones who moved up, meanwhile this guy...I have NO respect for this CLOWN.:wt:

This whole debate and opinion giving is what it is..kinda funny one minute he's a small middleweight, next minute he should've move up. If only folks spent this kind of effort trying to get matches made which is all we should actually care about. He'll go to 168, that's a given but damn..can we talk about something else for once.

Canelo moved up to fight a guy from a division below him.Didn't notice any of those names on your list that jumped two divisions to face the premier guy at their weight other than Hopkins. The guy that stayed at middle to unify and make a bunch of defences. And only moved up coz he couldn't beat Taylor.Nobody can answer why GGG gets all the abuse for Brook, when Nunn didn't for Starling....
