How can this even be close?
The world hates Trump, and is suspicious of the US in general, but NK is a genuine dystopian state that is holding back progress for 20+ million people, and the region as a whole.
It's the kind of state that we've been warned about throughout history, and have fought revolution's trying to defeat them, even in our own lands

Had it out? As in conventional military action or an exchange of nukes (if the Koreans do actually have any more than experimental capability)? Either way it would be almost laughably one sided, and would basically require that the US invaded Korea since it's literally impossible for North Korea to launch any meaningful attack on US soil.

Given that that would make the US - as so many times in the past - an aggressor invading a sovereign state I would be forced to side with the people of the DPRK however dumb I think they are for allowing a tyrannical criminal dynasty to rule their country.

Of course, it would require more specifics of the casus belli to make a proper judgement, but as a general rule I'd assume the aggressive, invading force to be the one in the wrong... the typical and utterly predictable moral and self-serving political justifications always made by invaders notwithstanding.

Voted for our American cousins here.

Although now you’re not our cousins. But like a neighbour who is nice to us but we suspect you are keeping several people locked up in your basement feeding them those little fat balls you get from pet shops. We can’t be sure yet.

For now we speak about the weather. You tell us jokes you’ve read from your book of 1000 jokes and we laugh politely.

But we’ve had the house valued. We tell our children if they kick the ball over the fence to leave it.

We’ve moved away from our boring European neighbours who always knocked on our door for sugar. Not anymore.

We’ll probably move next door to China at some stage
