.460 is what I take when I wanna teach my nephews to shoot for the 1st time

Same, and haven't hunted in about a decade or so.

But a good deer rifle has started to appeal to me lately. I can't remember what model it was, but shot a Tikka in 7mm-08, and it was very pleasant to shoot, and put some good groups up.

Never have shot .270, but alot of people I have talked to swear by it.

I own two Tikkas, great guns. The groups and the action is smooth as butter.

When buying self defense ammo make sure you get 12-18 inch penetration

And as far as expansion 1 1/2 times diameters

So 9mm/.38/.357/.380 you want expansion to 0.53-0.54 inch.

.40/10mm expansion to 0.60 inch.

.44 you want expansion to 0.64-0.65 inch.

.45 you want expansion to 0.67-0.68 inch.

What do you think about a Walther PPK .380 for a female?

Yeah, thing really was a sweetheart to shoot. The rifle itself combined with the round was just a great combo for me.

Tikka will be up there when it comes down to it.
