  • Kenny Porter: "Golovkin is all hype, time will tell I was right"

    Now eat this:

Interviewer: What do you think about GGG? are there still questions about him? is he legit?

KP: I always knew he was legit. From the amateur system, when he beat a lot of our guys from team USA. He's just always been a legitimate guy. Like Lomachenko (...) So there's no questions there, he's the real deal, he's the goods, he has the ability, the skill level, everything is there. Just like anything else, everybody wants him to take on tougher challenges, and till that happens, people is still gonna have questions, but I know he's for real.
    (...)

Interviewer: What made you remember GGG? you saw a lot of fighters in the olympics, what is it that he made, that made him stand up in your mind? just that he beat a lot of the guys or what?

KP: he beat us... he beat us easy... and he beat us bad... You know? we had guys that fought him and they would come back to the corner disgusted... and dejected. And we as coaches, knew what we were dealing with. He was just that good, you know. And he beat some very very talented guys from team USA. I don't think there's one thing that stands out about him... it's all things that he does. And he makes it look so easy. He doesn't appear to be working hard at all.

    But his defense doee

Now LEARN to appretiate a great fighter, haters.

what is the point of creating a fake headline and referencing a video that was already posted and commented on?

I want the haters to apologize. They RAN outside the other thread. They came there to write his daily blasfemy against GGG, but KP was so specific, that they could not write anything and just had to run away.

For what? KP made honest points. People saying GGG's resume is crap are making an honest point also.

Why you feel the need to make a BS troll headline rather than just discuss in the thread already up is crazy.

It's f@ggoty shit like this that has driven down the quality of the site FFS.

Not everyone is going to like GGG. Just accept it.

Yeah, an invalid point. He easily beat many top10 contenders of his division, while made others run and vacate titles to avoid him.

Is he lacking names? sure.. names... that's what matters right? They wanted GGG to fight Jacobs, now they say Jacobs will lose easily.. it's hate, hate.

Ggg can continue to win and people still say he's hype? So as soon as he loses people will say told you so he is hype?

He is lacking a definitive win over a top tier opponent. If he beats Jacobs that will be a significant improvement in resume but still will not put his resume up there with Ward, Kov, Chocalito, Canelo, Manny, Crawford adn others at or near the top p4p list IMO.

If he keeps fighting the level of guys he has, of course they will continue to say the same thing.

If he beats Danny then goes to 168 and beats the top guys there (assuming he doesn't get a Canelo fight ) then he will get more respect.. If he follows Danny up with another dishwasher he will get criticism and fairly so.
