The only ones that do, are the ones with a big network behind them like cnn or espn. U don't see fight hype or esb doing it because who would give a sh! 1 and Floyd would not answer there questions. Why do you think elie seckback kisses floyd @$$ so much now

I don't know why people are faulting Mayweather for this; people don't owe others an interview or conversation so if, for whatever reason, they don't like someone, it is their business whether they converse with them in the future. It's on the interviewers to decide whether they want to preserve a relationship of seek out answers.
Most people can simply answer the questions or respond to criticism. The question of Floyd vs Pac is what the fans want to know about. It seems Pac will answer these questions. Floyd chooses not to. So its frustrating, and he doesnt make himself clear.

This is the problem with Floyd. That he has become such a businessman, his choice of opponent is more about money, not real exciting challenges. IMO.
When he calls himself TBE, he sets himself up for criticism. TBE should be proving to everyone he is indeed TBE, but he is more interested in money. And his excuses for not fighting certain opponents that fans would like to see makes him look bad.
So interviewers try to get these answers, but they cant. With Floyd this situation is unique.

Because they'll be frozen out of access to further interviews

The only way this changes is if all reporters did it. Unfortunately money exchanges hands between multiple media outlets to allow the softball questions to always take precedence

Understandable but the Khan example is a horrible one given how Khan hasn't done anything relevant in years. Either avenge your loses or beat a credible opponent and Mayweather can't utter those words, Khan lost to Garcia and went on to do what exactly? At least Maidana was able to go on a winning streak, winning fights many expected him to lose.

It's funny that you should mention Pacquiao when people could easily ask, "Why don't the reporters grill him more on refusing drug testing in the past." and "Why don't they question why he keeps signing extensions with Arum." or "Why did you say you'd fight for free before turning down $40 million."

Floyd isn't the exceptions. Many questions could be asked of Pacquiao but they're not, probably because the journalists do not want to burn bridges.

              Good point.
Although with Floyd he has to hype up his opponent because his choice of opponent is nearly always criticised these days.
Pac isnt the one claiming to be TBE.

I dont think Pac makes as many stupid statements and contradicts himself as much as Floyd. But then again, he just doesnt speak as much.

Theres a way to do it, if youre big like larry merchant, you can do it. If youre small time, you will get blacklisted from interviews. Not just floyd too but if youre too blunt the promoters will see it and keep you away from their guys too.

It is quite annoying seeing media suck him off. Really annoying. Even more so when you see them pause multiple times, thinking wtf is this guy saying.

There is almost no real journalism in boxing. Most of the 'reporters' are with little known blogs or websites and have no resources behind them. They just want to keep their credentials for fight night and hopefully land a few interviews.

That's what makes guys like Fat Dan and Iole so reprehensible. Fat Dan in particular has huge resources behind him at ESPN. He actually has a real platform that a disgruntled fighter or promoter can't take away. And he does absolutely fuck all with it.

Never asks tough questions. Never investigates any issues. Never calls anyone out on the endless bullshit that circulates in this sport. He just retypes press releases from the major players like the fat useless fuck that he is. People like Dan Rafael make the horrendous state of this sport possible.
