it seems that nate diaz is actually a career lightweight (155 lbs) but the fight took place at welterweight (170 lbs) because he was a late replacement and didn't have time to cut weight. and mcgregor is by all accounts huge at featherweight (145 lbs). so, in boxing terms, it would be the equivalent of two middleweights fighting each other at the light heavyweight limit
