Trading Russell with Moz's horrible contract was the right thing to do because you need to pair the young guys with good vets. Russell, Ingram, Randle, and Ball were not going to win you a ring any time soon and by the time the team became good, they would be due big money.

actually, Dlo allowed us to move Mozgov's horrible contract, got us Brook Lopez (still under 30), got us Kyle Kuzma and provided us with the cap flexibility we need for next summer

i now look at Dlo as a placeholder that did its job
