Wilder is finished. He will never beat a genuine top 5 HW. He doesn't have it in him
Stupid novice..

1 fight ago Wallin had The great Fury stumbling in round 12

Go rewatch Patterson vs Ingmar Johansson #1

Now look at the 2 follow up fights

Fury won on feb 23 yes

But should have been stopped on cuts in his previous fight...thanks Bob Arum...nice bribe

Lets see how many defenses Fury gets...1..2 or 15

Absolutely. Wilder just fought a prime, fully fit, top class opponent for the first time in his career.

After the fight I was kind of amazed that Fury kept his hand speed, foot elusiveness and stamina with all of that gained weight on him. Fury looked way bigger than Deontay this time around. It could of been the smaller fighter who's the one with faster hands and the elusiveness but it was the opposite. Deontay came in there with the wrong gameplan. I realize that too many victories he had b4 this fight that ended early didn't prepare him for this type of fight. From this point on, I'm hoping he evolves from his limited style and work a lot on his defensive game. He had heart to keep taking a beating like that so it's possible he can come back like how Pacquiao did it.

Boxing is a mental game and once a guy like Wilder shows he's beatable every fight for now on will be different. Yes, he can still punch and if he hits anyone flush he'll put your lights out but the aura of invincibility is over and so is Wilder's reign. Wish him the best but at 34 he should take his health and money and go enjoy himself.
Same here: I was rooting for Wilder but I thought he would get KOed due to Fury's heavy enough hands.

I'm not completely sure how good Wilder is/was: He twice beat a seemingly really good technical fighter and one with great power in Luis Ortiz. Then again, Ortiz hasn't fought other A level fighters, so it's hard to know where he stands. Wilder drew with an A level guy in Fury and got wiped out by him Saturday. I still consider Wilder A level, but it would be really interesting to see him against Joshua, Ruiz, Usyk, or even a B+ guy like Whyte.

From a fan's perspective, I'd like to see him go out with a win before retirement.
