Campillo went to Argentina and beat Hugo Hernan Garay who was the WBA champ to win his title and then went to Kazakhstan and beat a then undefeated Bebibut Shumenov for his first defense both in their hometowns only to be robbed in the rematch against Shumenov. So yeah maybe popularity wise they are not popular but they are obviously talented not everyone is going to reach Pacquiao level who has in the past 20 years? Floyd, Pac, and Canelo thats it.

Is that considered disrespectful? Can you school me a little on tradition of Thai fighting names?

Or if you don't feel up to it is there anything to add that these links don't cover?

Those links get most of it but I have to add that Thailand is a very Buddhist country and it has a lot of importance for fighting, so fight names are important to give a fighter spiritual power. For an example a common fight name is Kem which means needle in Thai. The fighter named needle wants to strike with painful accuracy. So the names are important and should not be taken away from the fighters.
