Floyd shouldn't have been a heavyweight really, even more so today.

I think he is vastly overlooked, heavyweight champion at 21 is an incredible thing to accomplish and is only succeeded by another Cus D'amato student.

one of the worst. no fault on him. he was just undersized and chinny. and as was already stated, a genuine gentleman.

But not a lot of people know, that Patterson had a very bad back, by the time he fought Ali.
Btw, Ali hated lots of people.

He wasn't as bad as you are making him out. He was the first to ever regain the title, even some ring legends couldn't accomplish that. He had only one points defeat in his first 36 fights and that was after 13 fights to a guy with over 100 fights. He also had a few good wins over Archie Moore, Henry Cooper, Bonavena, Yvon Durelle, Eddie Machen, George Chuvalo and Ingmar Johannson

That is a very good point, and I cannot argue it.
