  • Ward now has to defend against Kessler.

Kessler is now mando and Ward has to defend before June 8 or else he'll be stripped.

I'm thinking Ward gives up his title rather than risk going to Denmark.

Would he have to defend in denmark?

Yeah, Ward has to defend but it doesn't have to be in Denmark.

Of course if Kessler is willing to break the bank and throw some serious money Ward's way I'm sure that SOG will hear him out.

        February 23th: Ward vs. Pavlik

No. If they can agree on a venue elsewhere all is good. If not the fight goes to purseoffers, and I wouldn't bet against Kessler's promotor Sauerland there.

No, but there's going to be a lot more money in Denmark than in the US.

I don't see Ward going to denmark... Kessler should fight Froch again if the Ward fight can't be made at a neutral venue or in denmark.

I think Kessler opts to fight Froch instead

Kessler vs Froch 2 would be dynamite

Ward doesn't really need a belt at this stage so i'm sure mandatories don't really count for much in his plans.

If Froch-Kessler happens though, Ward will definitely face the winner. Probably in America though, he'll need a lot of money to move from his base.
