    It could be permanent due to trauma, it is called Anosmia.

      Yes, I have read about it but found no information about anosmia related to boxing except this research ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20064489
      which claims that boxers have worse sense of odour than non boxers.

        so, do anyone know anything about anosmia related to boxing? Are there professional/amateur or whatever boxers over the world who experienced that problem? 'Cause I cannot find any information over the internet... and that problem truly concerns me as I consider to leave the ring or not to (but that would be pity because boxing is the only thing I love)
