Froch was unofficially retired at the time and never came back. When he offered 172, since he had been out of the ring so long he couldn't make 168, they said no thanks. I'm gonna ask the same question GGG fan ask. How can you duck someone that's not in your division? Better yet, how can you duck someone when you're retired?
GGG's HBO debut in 2012, Kellerman asked him if he would fight Andre Ward(not Sergio Martinez) GGG said yes.
Ward fought Dawson the next week, went inactive, ****ed around and fought Edwin Rodriguez a year later. Hasn't fought at 168 since 2013.
Why don't you follow the sport? Why do you talk when you don't know what the **** you are talking about?
    I already know why

Here is radioraheem asking Sanchez about fighting Ward. Sanchez said it's unfair to ask GGG to move up to fight Ward because GGG hasn't conquered his division. https://youtu.be/U0ugadMjM9k?t=7m20s

Here's him asking GGG if he wants to fight Ward in 2014

But the quote you cited does say that, that when they were negotiating the fight (2 years ago? 3?), the weight class in play was 168. That's what I meant. It's not like GGG was offering to fight Froch at 172, but would only fight Ward at 168. He was offering Froch 168 too is my point.

no, class-clown..... he offered to fight Froch at 168 and Ward at 164 LMAO

good god, what was your point..... that reflects better on Golovkin, how ?

Fighting the number 2 at 168 to get acclimated to 168 is much better than fighting the number 100000 at 172 to get acclimated to 175, then the number 7-15, then bringing a 168 up to 175 all still in preparation for the number 1 at 175.

I respect golovkins stance more than I do wards, because he sought after actualy challenges at 168 to get adjusted. Makes no sense just diving right out against the very best in the division (ward himself has said that's crazy, hence why he didn't do it).

They should have let him get his feet wet first.

oh, really..... so, Froch was just a tuneup for Ward, huh ?

never heard that one before LMAO

i guess that explains why they demanded 164 the first time around..... no wait, it doesn't

but I guess that explains why they stated "no thanks, maybe 2017" the second time Ward tried to make that fight..... uh no, it doesn't explain that either LMAO

                  cool story bro

Froch knew what time it was. He saw GGG gaining on him in the rearview and took the first exit ramp he could.

Golovkin is " gaining " on nobody..... he has never fought at 168, and has never beaten a genuine world-class opponent.....

..... the gap between Froch and Golovkin is as wide now, as it was back in 2014 WHEN FROCH RETIRED

As-is the case with everyone else, Golovkin needs to get his wins in the ring..... not by insinuating that MUCH BETTER fighters ducked him.
