Why take risks when the guy was winning by a landslide?

It's romantic and all but totally unnecessary and unprofessional

People can rag on Jnr all they like IMO but once the fight was made, Canelo simply did what he had to do

Unprofessional, that is ridiculous. If the guy is ready to be ko'd you ko him. Simple. Matthysse did it tonight and Lemieux tried very hard to do it. That is what makes a boxer become a star. But this is not the same Chavez that fought Martinez. This was a washed up Chavez that had nothing to offer. Everyone keeps saying why take a risk. My reply to that is there was little to no risk tonight from Chavez. Alvarez would of risked very little bu going for a ko or throw enough punches for a tko.

Totally agree with you here, he does his own thing at this level now. The only time we would probably see his corner having more input would be if he was in trouble like Mayweather was against Mosley in their fight (2nd round).

BTW better to get advice from an online trainer than from 2 guys who's previous jobs before meeting Canelo was working at a butcher shop. They have 0 experience in boxing before meeting Canelo, they are so inept that they even refuse to train other fighters.

At least Floyd has some1 with experience and wisdom in boxing in his corner. Canelo's trainers former jobs before working for Canelo was working at a butcher shop. They have 0 experience in boxing before meeting Canelo. They have never trained any other fighters other than Canelo. And when they have been approached to train other fighters they have refused saying Canelo is the only fighter they are interested in training. They are a bunch of ass kissing yes men that Canelo has in his corner giving him conflicting advice that goes against the kind of fighter he is.
