actually i just remember about him testing positive 3 times as well, though that one stays a rumor. but it's all clear now what golden boy does with positive test results, apparently they dont inform the commission.

Mr. Greisman, you completely failed to address the biggest suspect in this whole PED issue: Manny Pacquiao!!! Why are you not mentioning the devastating beatings this former 112 pound champion gave to the likes of naturally bigger men like Ricky Hatton, Miguel Angel Cotto, and Antonio Margarito? Why are you not mentioning the fact that Shane Mosley, a naturally bigger man who fought the likes of naturally bigger fighters in Oscar De La Hoya, Fernando Vargas, Vernon Forrest, Miguel Cotto, & Ronald Wright, just to name a few, said there was something "special" about Pacquiao's power?

Also, why are you wasting readers' time by writing about Erik Morales' positive drug results?! It is an absolute fact that a significant percentage of Mexican beef contains Clenbuterol!!! This isn't the first time Mexican athletes have tested positive for this drug (and it will not be the last)!!! You say the Morales vs Garcia fight should have been canceled. What a joke of a statement. This again shows your ignorance on the matter! A Performance Enhancing Drug, by definition, enhances performance. Tell me, sir, what in Morales' terrible performance makes you suspect enhancement?! Was it the manner in which he was KTFO?

Please Mr. Greisman, your job is to provide complete and accurate information. If you are not going to commit to that standard, then how can we, the readers, ever come to trust your work? We already have one Ronnie Nathaniels, we sure as hell do not need another one!!!

Marquez shouldn't even be basis of speculations. He is a hard working, dedicated athlete who has been clean for his entire career. We all know some nut-hugging fans are hurt because of their fighters' defeat but that doesn't give anyone the right to put a blemish on someone's victory and specially not Mr. Marquez's, who even though had all the odds against him went in there and fought his heart out for his well deserved win.

Many called JMM a runner and wanted him to stand toe to toe with pacman, well he did just that and you see what happened. That was the perfect game plan for Marquez, to counter a reckless,wild and slightly older Pacquiao.

Closing thought: A fighter's physique should not be basis for speculations on PED use.

My comment will double the number of posts on this article-to two. You have built your laborious edifice on a wrong premiss. The speculations about Marquez and PEDS did not begin as soon as Pacquiao hit the floor, they began as soon as the first (muscular, Popeye-like) picture of Marquez hit the press 2-3 months before the fight. I didn't bother to read the rest, I know what it's about, and the slow grinding way in which you'll puff and pant to your conclusion.

When are you going to realise that you just are not a writer of articles, you just can't find the spark. You should listen, and concentrate on ferreting out 10 Counts, and do interviews in both of which, you excel..

Dear Mr. Greisman, this article is pathetic.

How can you write an article about PED in boxing, forgetting to mention that testing was an issue in the failing negotiations for one of the biggest fights in the history of the sport?

Let me remind you: one side asked for more stringent testing procedures, and the other refused.

The side who refused was a featherweight who started knocking down welterweights like nothing.

Seems somehow it should fit in the discussion (unless this is a Top Rank press release, but in that case it should be marked as such, not as an article).

Until fighters start going through what Nonito Donaire is going through, the jury will forever be out on how clean boxers truly are.

As far as I'm concerned, that's the way boxers should be tested. Just because they're not in a specific camp for a fight, doesn't mean they're not preparing for a match or keeping their body regulated to some degree. There should be no offseason for testing these athletes, until they hang up the gloves.
