  • Who do you Most Enjoy Following on Twitter (Non-Boxers)?

Person or organization involved in Boxing (Promotional Company, News Source, Trainers, etc). List just one or as many as you want. PLEASE, no boxers. Here’s my list:

    1. Dan Rafael (ESPN) @danrafaelespn and @ESPNBoxing
    2. FightNights.com ‏@boxing (they actually got username rights for “boxing”. I’m jealous!).
    3. Steve Farhood ‏@SteveFarhood
    4. Al Bernstein ‏@AlBernstein
    5. Boxing Scene ‏@boxingscene (This should keep me out of trouble in this forum - LOL)
    6. Steve Kim ‏ @stevemaxboxing
    7. Oscar De La Hoya ‏@OscarDeLaHoya and @GoldenBoyBoxing
    8. Kieran Mulvaney ‏ @kieranmulvaney
    9. Todd duBoef/Top Rank ‏ @ToddDuboef
10 Paco Rivera (GAR1680 Boxing Talk) @GAR1680 (ha-ha, you know I gotta throw myself in there).

    Not good to follow:
Bob Arum - Not active. Rarely ever tweets anything to his followers.
Kevin Iole - Tweets a lot, but rarely ever about boxing.

Honestly, these days I don’t know how anyone can be a huge boxing fan and follow boxing closely without having Twitter. On Twitter you are getting a continuous flow of information from the people directly involved in the sport. Boxers, boxing writers, trainers, promotional companies, boxing TV networks, and others. Sometimes getting bits of information that you normally don’t see anywhere else. For instance…

Several weeks ago I was watching the undercard for the Khan-Molina fight on TV and a tweet came across on Twitter from Khan saying: “Just left the hotel. Headed to the arena now.”

          I don’t know why…but I found that so cool.

i definately have to agree twitter is one of the major ways i kept up with boxing previous to using this forum and also you get a chance to talk to some fighters and trainers which is cool for someone like me who doesnt have access to them by going to fights or press conferences i think you already posted all the major people i follow on there i can think of

As a newbie to twitter, is it anyway like facebook? Do you upload pics of yourself and what not?

you have an avi but aside from that the profile is real small compared to fb its just like constant status updates kinda and you can @ people to have convos with them but everyone that follows you can see everything you post even to other people
