The May-Mac PPV was the exact same price as the Joshua-Takam PPV in the UK, not sure where you read that they were so far apart in price?

You are saying all it takes to be a draw in the UK is a big mouth persona and a belt, then why is AJ so much more popular and £££ generating than Tyson Fury? The fact is that the biggest UK draw is someone who doesn't have a big mouth and rather than accept that, you're bending reality all over the place just because you want to act like Wilder would be a super big draw.
It's what they do.... just pull stuff out of nowhere to justify ridiculous points made from fantasy. I bought both of May-Mac and Joshua vs Takam. Both were £19.95.

Wilder is not likely to have been a huge star with that resume and gifs of him windmilling and tripping over his own feet, Casuals are gullible not ******ed.

I'll be waiting for your response
Errol Spence Jr is pretty damn close, and Haymon basically took him from the Olympics to the IBF welterweight title.

Keith Thurman got over the hump, Danny Garcia is bubbling as a star, and you can't disregard the rebuild job that Haymon has been able to do with Daniel Jacobs since the Pirog KO either.

Given a bit of time and a couple fights falling into place, you can start talking about the Charlo brothers too.

And let's not disregard Deontay Wilder either.

Point is that Haymon has been able to develop a bunch of fighters, with a bunch of them in place as TV stars, and a handful of them ready for stardom.

Only fighters can promote themselves by making sure they fight the fights fans expected them to fight.
Wilder knew as a Haymon fighter he's not obligated to.

Obviously we have a big disagreement on what a boxing star really is. All the fighters you mentioned are all good Fighters but NONE of them is a star. A star is a fighter who can sell out arenas, fill up stadiums, and sell over a million ppv's. That's a star. That's what Canelo and Anthony Joshua are.
None of the fighters under Haymon are stars. Nothing against them cause they are all very good fighters but they are not stars. For as good as Haymon is at what he does he hasn't been able to properly promote any of those fighters. Most of those fighters are unknown to the casual fans.

GBP makes stars. It's that simple.

I think Wilder as an American HW champ would have been bigger if he was with any decent promoter, if he was with Don King for example, he might have issues privately with King but as in “Bigger” he would definitely be.

"If Wilder is unable to get Joshua in the ring, one of the frontrunners to face him in the first quarter of the New Year is Dominic Breazeale."

do ya think whyte would travel to the US to fight wilder for the belt?

                  Whyte > breazeale

                  as of right now

Golden Boy promotions has a number of fighters who keep fighting on HBO repeatedly so that should tell you something.
Badou Jack, 'Tank' Davis, Ronald Gavril just challenged for a world title, Ishe Smith is a faded former Champion, J'Leon is seemingly a fight away from a shot at a world title, Andrew Tabiti is almost to a world title, a relatively large group of journeymen, and then a good 6-7 young fighters that he's actively starting to bring along.

The TV may not be always consistent, but Floyd's still building something
