With that said, who do you think should be the highest paid boxer today based on talent and ring merits?
In boxing talent and merit isn't what gets you paid the most. It's how well you fill the seats and sell PPV's,

respectfully, I think its better if we look at boxer's salaries like we do actors.

The best actors get paid well but the guys like Cruise and Will Smith get paid more because their films tend to generate more.

n that regard, I think Wlad, Manny and Canelo deserve the biggest paydays.

Also, in other sports its also not merit based as much as it is timing. Look at Michael Conley from the Grizzlies or redskins Qb Kirk Cousins. Niether is the best but both will be the highest paid in their sports.

Gonzalez, he's had the best run of beating top 10 guys in the last 3-4 years. Just looking at the short term, Thurman facing Porter and then Garcia next is impressive. Frampton also in facing Quigg, LSC x2. Ward as he's coming off of the Kovalev win. Corrales went to Japan twice and now goes straight at Lomachenko so I hope he'll have a nice bank balance at the end of that run.

Until he stops knocking everybody out with ease GGG desrves the most based on merit. He defends his title more often than any other champion. He has 16 successful title defenses all won by KO. He has KOed 24 opponents in a row and counting. He gets my vote and TS if the professional GGG haters on here don't like it. He has never come close to losing a fight and rarely even losses more than 1 round in any fight. He has never been knocked down or in trouble in any fight. He has one of the best amateur records in history and you can't pick your opponents in the amateurs.Haters can hate him all they want but he is a real winner and the best KO artist in the sport. KO wins are better than points wins in boxing just as home runs are better than singles, doubles or triples in baseball.
