*Ring Magazine title is not included in the OP mainly because the lineal titles are fought with #1 vs #2 and that would be Richard Commey vs Lomachenko

    thats from ring website

    also:ring annual ratings:

    2015
    Lightweights-
    "Title Vacant"
    1. Jorge Linares
    2. Dejan Zlaticanin
    3. Sharif Bogere
    4. Richard Commey
    5. Terry Flanagan
    6. Anthony Crolla
    7. Rances Barthelemy
    8. Denis Shafikov
    9 Argenis Mendez
    10. Miguel Vazquez

    2016-
    Lightweights
    Jorge Linares, Champion
    1. Dejan Zlaticanin
    2. Terry Flanagan
    3. Robert Easter Jr.
    4. Anthony Crolla
    5. Denis Shafikov
    6. Sharif Bogere
    7. Richard Commey
    8. Felix Verdejo
    9. Petr Petrov
    10. Raymundo Beltran

how in the hell did linares become lineal champ?

my understanding of this is that Loma got lineal once he beat linares (who golden boy recognized as the lineal ring titlist)

    but linares fought:
    may 2015 vs kevin mitchell

    oct 2015 vs ivan cano

    sep 2016 vs anthony crolla

and that was after terence crawford moved up in weight and vacated lineal status (recognized by golden boy/ring magazine)

he didnt even fight any of the top 5 in their own list!

There has not been a consensus lineal champion at Lightweight since Terence Crawford. The Ring changed its policy of the #1. vs. #2. a few years ago around the time they stripped the actual lineal champion a LHW Adonis 'Superman' Stevenson.

Now the #1. can go down the order and fight the next available opponent thats ranked in the top five. So then, Linares was arguably #1. and Crolla was in the top five, this qualified them to fight for the Ring title.

Note: there was debate as to who was #1. between Jorge Linares and Dejan Zlaticanin, I called Dejan Zlaticanin a Euro-bum, I was right as usual.

Really have no interest in this fight, it's a shame because Loma is must watch TV when he's matched up with somebody decent. I'll go on boxingscene on Sunday to see how Lomachenko won.

That was the sentiment when Linares faced Crolla for the Ring Lightweight title, as Jorge Linares was signed with the Ring's owner and founder of Golden-Boy promotions Oscar De La Hoya.

The Ring's champions were synonymous with the lineage of each division, but when they stripped Adonis of the Ringmagazine title, that did it for me.
