In your case you already know what is education going to lead to, it's not like you gotta worry about internships, experience, all that extra stuff after college. So go with college. It does not sound like a waste of time, more like investing in yourself.

real economies don't allow their workers 6 weeks of vacation a year.

there's a reason why multinationals are buying up american companies. we f#Cking produce.

I honestly don't really enjoy traveling i stay in the hemisphere, so I'd say education.

Responsible people would tell you to take care of your education and travel when you're old and maybe statistically speaking they're right but really either path could turn out to be good or bad. I say flip a coin and commit yourself to whatever the coin says to do! lol I dare you to flip it, right now do it.

Id say finish the masters program and get the promotion ASAP. You can always travel after you complete the program and get the promotion with the better pay you will obtain.

I was in a similar situation in my late 20's I joined a company that promised me all kinds of perks, higher salary, higher title, benefits etc. While I was hustling nonstop I saw my friends taking trips to miami, brazil, europe, asia, canada on their social media pages hooking up with chicks galore. I felt really jealous and envious of them all. But in the end I made a good senior management salary and I could afford to travel anywhere I desired and I did. I hustled and worked my way up the ladder and a lot of those guys I was jealous of traveling ended up getting laid off when the economy hit the fan.

Then of course a few years later which was about a year ago many of you know I got laid off due to BS restructuring of the new executive team wanting to hire young blood to do our jobs at 1/2 the cost.

Speed up to today and my new company pays for all my travel expenses( flights, hotels, rental cars, meals, happy hour, etc) whenever I travel thats work related of course.

I came to realize the newer modern better companies pay for all your travel expenses and this is a really great perk!

If finishing your masters will get you that high level job you will be set up nicely for your future and will be able to travel multiple times a year. Hell, eventually, you could live in any country you want when you retire.
This is my biggest worry, I have been offered the opportunity to transfer to either Dubai or Sydney with this company but I would be unable to study. The offers are tempting as I think the experience working in different markets would also be beneficial and contribute to my experience.

But when I say travel I don't want to work full time, I want to travel and see the world. I am leaning towards studying and i appreciate you taking the time to respond. Great advice.

I mean you can always learn. You don't even need to go to school to learn. So usually I'd say travel is superior here as I have lived abroad & it was a great experience for me & its something I encourage people to try in particular if they are on the fence about it already as many, you included, seem to be.
This is the confusing part. The people my age are encouraging me to travel, I already get alot of **** from my friends because I am so busy educating myself. When they are out partying I am studying but they do not have the opportunities I have and I think they fail to see that or just don't want to acknowledge it.

When I say "I want to continue studying" the response is always "You're a crazy man" never "Well done, keep up the great work."

A part of me feels like I have to choice between my friends and my career which is probably the most difficult part.

If you want to settle down in a couple years and get a mortgage, chances are you wont be able to, financially speaking, if you decide to move abroad. (Unless you have family money.) So while its romantic to decide to live in a foreign country, most times it's just not practical. But if you aren't interested in financial security, and For some people, that's ok, I say go for it. Do it while you can.
Thanks for the response mate, financial security is my main drive (although it comes hand in hand.) I am very driven and i don't know when to stop, a part is very self critical and I am consistently pushing for more and more. I want to study so I can be successful, I don't really care about anything else.

I love travelling and I know I will regret it to a certain extent but I get a buzz out of progression and succeeding. It sounds lame, but it's hard to put into words. I think its because for many years I struggled so badly to figure where or what i was going to do in life, now for the first time ever I have a great opportunity on front of me.
