On the level of the catastrophic **** ups of socialism/communism? Not even ****ing close. A mixed economy like you see in most western countries can't even exist without leeching off capitalism. Socialism is a parasite and Venezuela is exactly what you get when you discard capitalism.

Food stamps, welfare, CHIP, Medicaid, etc. That's examples of socialism, and those programs are black holes for tax dollars.

As glad as I am that you tacitly acknowledge that the overall standard of living is higher in democratic socialist nations, I haven’t got any further than the highlighted sentence.
