If Gomez is serious about NSAC performing a thorough investigation, then it better with the same vigor, seriousness, and timeliness that was used when they exonerated those soccer players in the Gold Cup. When those 5 soccer players got popped for Clen - FIFA led a comprehensive investigation, working with farmers and the mexican government, that ultimately led to their case being dismissed. They gave information where they ate, what time, which training camp it was, etc. The training camp revealed what butcher they used, the butcher revealed the farm it gets its livestock from.

It was a full on thorough investigation. If Canelo gives up all of that information, and the dates and times and the restaurant all adds up - and the restaurant has a long history of getting their meat from a butcher that gets it meat from a farm that consistently injects their cattle with Clen - then that should be enough. Though the hair follicle testing would give more info on if he was using the drug itself, if the mexican players got off by using only an investigation not involving hair testing, then Canelo can as well. Fair is fair. I'm all for fairness.

But if Canelo fails to give up the info and hinders NSAC's ability to perform a thorough investigation, then hair testing is the ONLY other way to do it.

Just to be clear though. Even if Canelo works with them by giving all of the above information and it checks out and he's exonerated - he should still be fined for not taking the necessary steps to make sure they were in the clear. And it has to be enough to show how serious the issue is and make sure that Team Canelo will NEVER again try to use negligence as an excuse again. They have to set precedence and hold these athletes accountable and make sure no one will ever use meat contamination as an excuse again from here on out.

I stand corrected. Kazakhstan is in Russia's orbit but not in the Federation. Thanks for clearing this up for me.

What GGG is saying are all facts. Both Canelo and Oscar are dirty they both have positive tests to prove it. Canelo is so rich, do u think he's buying meat from the meat market down the street? Hes a diva.High class food is all he's buying. Except when we wants a dose of tainted meat. His team are litearly buthers they know where to go.

That's why he said he was going to wait for the NSAC decision. He doesn't necessarily have to prove Alvarez was clean, he just has to establish that he's not dirty and that Trip knew he wasn't but said he was a cheater anyway.

Would be a waste if money to attempt it.

And the link between GGG and the athletes of the Russian Federation that proves GGG cheated? They come from the same general geographic region. Wow! You should be a prosecutor... Not.

Just want to remind folks of how you handle business:

May 16, 2016:

Wilder and his team have been in Sheffield, England, for the past two weeks training and adjusting to several hours of time difference. They were scheduled to fly to Moscow on Sunday afternoon but did not board their flight and were making plans to return to the United States despite having not heard from the WBC on the matter, a member of Wilder's team told ESPN.com.

Hours after Wilder and his team skipped their flight, the WBC, having little choice with the titleholder preparing to return home, announced the fight was off and called it a postponement.

February 13, 2017:

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Heavyweight boxing champion Deontay Wilder has won a fight with Russian boxer Alexander Povetkin - not in the ring, but in the courthouse - in a trial over a title bout that was called off after the Russian tested positive for a banned substance.

After less than an hour, a federal jury in Manhattan on Monday ruled in favor of Wilder in a civil trial, finding that Povetkin ingested meldonium after a World Anti-Doping Agency ban of the drug went into effect in January 2016...

In June, Wilder and DiBella sued Povetkin and Ryabinskiy’s World of Boxing LLC, saying they were owed at least $5 million for the defendants’ breach of a contract requiring Povetkin to be produced for the match.

Yes, but over in Russia, they didn't have the built in excuse of meldonium in meat. The only way to get meldonium into your system is to dope. Easy case to make. Not comparable to Canelo and Clenbuterol.
