Again like I said just look at the NBA which has a huge US TV deal. But NBA is huge internationally and the NBA has their own separate deals internationally with each country. The ESPN, ABC, TNT which owns US deal for NBA has nothing to do with those broadcasts abroad. How DAZN could have anything to do with fights in Mexico, UK, Brazil, Ireland, Spain, Russia ect ect when they aren't even available in those countries and Golden Boy has been selling the rights to these countries for Canelo fights for years. And if DAZN did have international rights then any one of the 10 outlets reporting on the deal would of stated they bought international rights.
They can own the rights and sell them to countries without DAZN. What's stopping them? Unless they Canelo/GBP already has a deal, nothing.
If it was US only why aren't they reporting that?
I'm getting irritated now, because you are talking like you KNOW what the deal is, but you don't. So i'm going to leave it.

I don't see it.
Floyd is the most popular fighter in the world because he made himself the villain and yet nobody can beat him.
He even created a discussion about him being the goat, and the thing is, nobody can prove him wrong lol. Everyone wants to see floyd lose but he just keeps winning.
Floyd is a genius inside and outside the ring.Last edited by DARKSEID; 10-17-2018, 09:15 AM.

As the old saying goes, as one door closes, another one opens.
Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions stable of fighters, including Canelo Alvarez, the unified middleweight world champion and boxing's biggest superstar, have long been stalwarts of HBO. But with the premium cable network's recent announcement that after 45 years of putting on most of the biggest fights in boxing it was bowing out of the sport at the end of the year, they were in need of a new broadcast home -- and they have landed a very lucrative one with new sports streaming service DAZN through 2023.
So they are replacing HBO who NEVER controlled the international broadcast rights. So why assume DAZN is doing that when again they don't even operate in most countries? Every press release says this is replacing HBO and HBO was ONLY the US broadcaster for Canelo. Canelo and Golden Boy already have their own relationships with other countries and it just makes no sense for the NBA to sell US rights to ESPN and then have ESPN sell rights to another country channel that has ZERO do with ESPN. NBA didn't do that and we know Canelo and Golden Boy didn't do that for past fights. If Canelo wants to strike a better deal when he's up with Mexico TV deal why does that have anything to do DAZN who don't even operate in Mexico? Or the UK for that matter. And if DAZN got rights other then US which is what HBO had it would be mentioned in press releases. I don't see what's confusing here.Last edited by bigdunny1; 10-17-2018, 09:21 AM.

Every country without deals already could be DAZN's. The countries DAZN are already in more likely than not DAZN has the rights.
Why bring up Mexico? Canelo already had a deal, obviously they can't have the rights for Mexico.
People like you are running around saying it's US only which could be misinforming people, because as i keep saying YOU DON'T KNOW.

He became his own lead promoter after 1 fight after Schaefer left Golden Boy. Canelo basically has the same type of deal Floyd had with Golden Boy from Oscar - Maidana rematch. He didn't leave for any other reason then he didn't want to work with Golden Boy without Schaefer.
