This fight won't happen. Ward is at 175 and talking about challenging higher weight divisions. Ward isn't going back down to 168 and Golovkin is not going up to 175.

    This fight won't happen.

      Ward by Clear UD

None of those fights have anything to do with each other.

Golovkin is a complete fighter, there is nothing for Ward to exploit. Golovkin will come forward and force him to fight, Ward won't be able to counter him effectively, nor hit him consistently to the body, nor move around at will, because GGG cuts the ring off exceptionally well when he wants to.

      • I think a discussion about Ward and Golovkin is pertinent now. You can't compare what Ward did to Kovalev with his chances against Golovkin. Golovkin is a more skilled fighter than Kovalev and he doesn't gas out. Ward would get to him sure but once Golovkin starts pounding him one never knows what would happen. Ward can try some of his "tactics" but in order to do that he would have to engage close in with Golovkin. And that's where it would get very interesting.

        • I mean sht, if he fights in Oakland with the ref in his pocket, nobody can beat him. He beat Kovalev with nut shots FFS. He gets away with wverything.

On neutral ground with a non corrupt referee, GGG beats the dogsht out of ward. gGG would give him a beating so severe that his droopy azz eyes will pop right up like a motherfukin cat.

Sure they do, they show the condition and latest performances of the two fighters who are being put against each other.

Being a complete fighter doesn't mean that he is unbeatable. If that were true then Golovkin shouldn't have lost a round in his career yet he was down against Brook and Jacobs gave him a close fight. Do you realize that if Jacobs hadn't gone down and had in fact won that round that the fight would have been a draw with Jacobs up on one scorecard? Golovkin can't handle a slick mover like Jacobs who was way bigger than him.

Andre Ward has a higher ring IQ, can for sure take Golovkin's power and has a high enough level of boxing ability to outbox Golovkin. On top of that, Ward is very skilled on the inside. Somewhere that Golovkin is NOT very good.

Golovkin can go ahead and turn up the pressure like you said. It will be all the better fight for Ward where he can be right where he is comfortable, on the inside.

If you haven't caught on I'm also implying that Golovkin isn't a complete fighter. We don't need to debate that fact.

Easy fight Golovkin at 168 now in Astana Kazak.

              GGG's the a-side.

              take the test.

              Ward, "NO CONCESSIONS!"

he knows his style does not work with a referee that will actually deduct points and DQ based on the rules of boxing.

              his style is pure cheating.

This is boxing, if Ward's style is too rough for you then go find another sport.

                  • Little G had his chance and instead of stepping up and taking the opportunity, he makes up excuses and pretends like he is the most avoided fighter.

He is the most avoided fighter, Rigo a close second. Fury third.

Ward would get stopped and he knows it, I give him props for fighting Kovalev twice, but getting in the ring with GGG is a death sentence, the boxing world knows it.
