Pretty Simple
AJs popularity and $ he can bring in and offer Opponets made him a more attractive option for the guys who were holding the straps at the time to pick AJ over Wilder.
It’s the same reason Canelo can build up such a strong resume and Coast through 168-175 divisions picking up straps from the weakest Strap holders.
Boxing has very little to do with talent and has everything to do with $ & popularity as far as what a fighter can accomplish. In fact boxing’s probably the only sport where if the athlete is too talented but doesn’t have the necessary popularity to go with it , It will actually stifle and hurt Their careerLast edited by R_Walken; 01-02-2020, 05:00 AM.

These circumstances alone is why Canelo is a boss, and the next guys you cry as “weakest strap holders” are BJS or Smith. Lol it’s always the same broken record with the Canelo haters. As if Kovalev is a walk in the park for 160-168 fighters. Derp derp derp

Wilder fan boy alert ... I defy one Wilder fan girl to find any credible opponent Wilder had in less than 25 fights, it was literally bun of the week go check boxrec.com. It's all one or zero star fights, guys tghere who lost there last five, he beat harder up hookers in Las Vegas.
Joshua and Fury all had ten times his record in that time, just open your eyes and look.

This is instead of winning belts , he ducked way more champs than just Joshua all because he wasn't ready !! at 20 odd fights Wilder started boxing before Joshua.

Because you said "Give me $50 million and I'll sign tomorrow." Then when Wilder's side offered you $50 million you wouldn't take the fight.
Deontay can't unify with a coward.

You're the biggest idiot audio $50m but openly turned down 100m and said he won't fight JoshuaOriginally posted by ShoulderRoll View PostBecause you said "Give me $50 million and I'll sign tomorrow." Then when Wilder's side offered you $50 million you wouldn't take the fight.
