  • Comments Thread For: Cesar Juarez vs. Isaac Dogboe For WBO Interim, January 6

Cesar Juarez was scheduled to face WBO 122 pound belt-holder Jessie Magdaleno on November 11th in Fresno, California. But that bout was scrapped as the defending champion pulled out of that fight claiming a training injury. Juarez, the top rated contender in the WBO, was very skeptical of the whole scenario and with that will be traveling to Accra, Ghana to face Isaac Dogboe for the interim WBO title on January 6th.

Isaac Dogboe will win handsomely and wait for Magdaleno.

Its very uncommon to celebrate the fallout of Jessie Magdaleno the #2. jr. featherweight ( after Guillermo Rigondeaux ) but the aftermath leaves us with an exceptional 50-50 fight between the #1. jr. featherweight according to the WBO Cesar Juarez and #3. Isaac Dogboe ; Dogboe should actually be #2. but former 118 WBO World Bantamweight champion Marlon Tapales has taken his spot after moving up/ failing to make the bantam weight limit, subsequently stripped of yes the WBO bantamweight title lol.

Much respect to Cesar Juarez for accepting this unnecessary risk of his mandatory position for Magdalenos 122 pound strap IN Accra, Ghana where Issaac Dogboe was born and fights out of. The 122 interim WBO title obviously was too tempting for Juarez to pass up and this decision in my opinion was not the wises ; according to the article it seems we fans benefit from Juarez lack of patience.

Lastly Sean Gibbons apparently does not understand how mandatory and interim championship works haha.
