Better overall player: Jerry Rice or Emmitt Smith?

now that I have to think about it:

1) Payton
2) Jim Brown (never missed a game, ridiculous)
3) Sanders
4) OJ Simpson
5-6) interchangeable- Smith, Dickerson

So I underestimated, he's mid top 10 in my book.

I'll tell you this about Emmit. If I needed 2 yards on 1 play, he's in my top 3 with Earl Campbell and Dickerson, maybe top 1.

Jerry Rice but Emmit Smith was a beast!! He was never the fastest, or strongest but he was definitely great. I'll never forget him running for over a hundred yards with a dislocated shoulder. What players do you know nowadays or even back then that would take the pain of that and still produce? Emmit was cut from a old school football cloth.

Yeah I have watched a lot of film on Campbell and I am totally in awe of the way he ran the ball. People think Brandon Jacobs is a bruiser....I mean good lord...Campbell was a monster. I can't imagine trying to tackle the guy in his heyday.

I love Rice but Emmitt is my fav player ever so im sorta biased... All ill say is if Randy Moss plays 20 yrs like Rice he would have all Rices records!
