  • Top Rank Wins Purse Bid For Hooker vs Saucedo

Looks like this fight is heading to ESPN.

Bad look for Hearn here. He needs to know that in the early going he has no choice but to go big to get these fights. Don't talk about being able to throw 6-8 million a piece to both Spence and Mikey and then lose a purse bid with your own champion.

So looks like TR won this purse bid by $70,000. Not bad, GREAT pay days for both fighters who otherwise wouldn't be sniffing this type of pay day.

TR flexing their muscles after the new ESPN deal was announced.

Looking at it, they actually made a really good offer for a fight of this caliber. But Hearn needs as many fights on DAZN as possible, especially with his signed fighters. Losing Hooker to ESPN is a big fail no other way around it. Offering 1.5 million for this fight was a overpay, but that is what will happen with both platforms trying to pick up as many fights as possible. Really a great time for fighters, especially these B-level guys.

Both were willing to pay a stupid amount of money for this damn fight. Arum just went a little bit crazier, one in the bank for Ramirez hes hoping.

Going to be a fun fight to. I don't really rate Hooker all that much despite his win over Flanagan, but Saucedo is going to bring it and we should get some fireworks.

Bob is probably banking on people watching Saucedo's last fight which was a FOTY candidate and hoping he could build off that momentum.

They are definitely setting up Ramirez vs Saucedo, but Saucedo is in tough here. Ramirez needs some fights especially with most of his top opponents in the WBSS.
