Yes ring had the world title vacant with AJ number 1, Wilder number 2 and Fury number 3 before the fight. After the fight AJ remained number 1 but Fury advance to number 2 and Wilder was dropped to number 3 so Ring thinks Fury won and ranked him as if he did win. I agree with Ring's heavyweight rankings.

Yes Rexy we do... and even in the internet age where so many believe if they say it, it must be so... there are truths and falsehoods. WHat is so disturbing is how people make the same damn mistakes in logic and in the big picture regarding what a title is, how it is taken, what it is for, and when how it operates.

So lets wearily go through this again for the sake of those who may be confused:

a) The title of lineal does not involve drug testing, character refences, bannings, etc... it is inherited and accepted based on the participant who beats the best, the "man who beats the man."
b) There is no causation regarding the title and retirement. Retirement is a separate variable that may hypothetically cause more than one lineal champion. This has never been a problem because, whether Lennox Lewis comes back, when Fury is fighting, or not, does not change lineal status. So yes, there could be more than one lineal hypothetically. The fact that this has never been a problem does not seem to occur to skeptics.
c) NO organization has the authority to declare anything about the lineal! The fans understand the lineal and it belongs to them...it is the purest expression of boxing glory...You become the best by beating the best, with no state sanctioned organization necessary to pollute the title. IT DOES not matter who chooses to recognize, or not recognize, the title...thats what makes it work.

Finally, in this situation we are in, Fury as the inherited lineal, has the authority of the fans, to claim a right unify the titles. Joshua and Fury also have this right...It is not a matter of who has the authority to claim to be the force of unification...What matters is who will exerscize that right!!!!!
