  • Where's Golovkin going after Canelo rematch?

No bait. Just honestly want to get opinions on this. It's been hard to get a read on how long he's going to stick around, if there's still plans for 168. If he'll defend for a while at 160. Or, just retire.

    What's his 2-year plan?
    No wrong answers here.

    Edit; tried to add a poll but shyt didn't take. Anyway, would have looked like this;
    -Defend @ 160
    -168
    -Retire
    -Money fight$

I honestly think he will retire a fight or two(maximum) after the canelo fight. Win lose or draw

If he wins, it will be Saunders for all the belts, then only big fights at either 160 or 168.
Potentially Eubank Jr, especially if he manages to win the super 6.

I don't see Jacobs rematch unless Jacobs fights and beats Canelo.

If he loses to Canelo, I think it will hard to come back. Maybe he will fight Saunders and seek the 3rd fight with Canelo.

I don't see any amazing fights at 168 for Gennady. Maybe Eubank Jr if he builds his profile further.

If he beats Canelo, could see part 3 coming in September. Or WBO champion, 1 or 2 fights at 168. Then Ward comes out of retirement.

Saunders at 160 and Eubank at 168 make sense because of the UK money. Gilberto Ramirez might be a PPV option as well.

Don't see him fighting Jacobs, Andrade, or Charlo if he can help it.

His path seems pretty obvious for 2018. Following the Canelo fight, he'll fight BJS for a unification in September. After that, who knows?

                I doubt he'll keep fighting past 2018.

If he gets Saunders he'll fight 1 more time, if he doesn't I have a feeling he might retire

                    Depends on the result IMO.
                    If he wins:
                    -Saunders unification.
-Jacobs rematch to clear up any doubt.
-Or possibly Canelo III if the result is close/controversial like the first fight.

                    If he loses:
-He could still fight Saunders for the WBO belt, possibly in a big Arena/Stadium fight in the UK.
Jacobs rematch although it loses a lot of value.
-A fight at 168 possibly although that division is a wasteland, no big names nor proven elite level fighters. The WBSS could hopefully change that though.
