I know some of you posters have some classic tales of bad training camps.. Would anyone like to share their favorite story about a training camp horror story..

I'm sure there are some tales about camps for benitez, Duran, tyson, toney, etc...

Here in the U.K. the Sun newspaper carried a story and picture of Mike Tyson, showing how he had ballooned to over 280lbs months after weighing a career high of 240lbs against Brian Neilson. for their fight in Copenhagen. Tyson signed to fight Lennox Lewis with only weeks to fight night. Reports claimed, Tyson spent his entire time sweating down in a sauna, just so he would look respectable in the ring on fight night.

In the no mas camp arcel complained to elata that he was training duran and Roberto was actually gaining weight apparently at night his friends were bringing him beer.

Also recovering from his big payday for Marvin Hagler. Duran took the hearns fight because he was Givin a cash payment while reducing weight and training he was found passed out in the shower

When Ingo Johansson arrived to New York for his first bout against Floyd Patterson in 1959, Floyd’s mgr Cus D’Amato had placed Ingo’s training camp in a little yard in central N.Y., surrounded by heavy traffic and pulloted air.

Ingo’s promoter Edwin Ahlqvist told D’Amato that if he didn’t came up with an acceptable camp for Ingo, there would be no fight, and him and Ingo would immediately return to Sweden.

It was a ‘nice’ try by D’Amato, who however – after learning that Ahlqvist was no pushover – presented the Swedes with satisfactory surroundings.

while been interviewed by b walte s with his wife number 1 it was spilled that mike was bipolar which explains a lot of his behaviors
