Their Size Fool!!!!! ............size has no meaning over "talent"!

haye, spinks, cooney, klits bros these are ALL second and third tier fighters!! They are not the upper class of the heavy history!! Get it through your heads your talking about lower talent levels. Big George talent wise is with them but his power brings him up. Dempsey is a long time ago but that guy was a ****ing animal and you have no idea what he was all about!!! You only know whats relative to you, your time your space and its a very "small space". If your going to talk the history of the division learn why Louis and Ali and Holmes are on the top. This isn't about size when your a heavyweight!!!! There are NO limitations!!! Grow up. Ray.

Wlad is significantly faster than Lewis, with great outside skill (granted, no aptitude for inside fighting) that includes footwork which is very fleet and nimble, it is the reason why he can beat his opponents with his jab. His footwork keeps him out of range.

His chin isn't great, but it's not as awful as most seem to believe. Some seem to believe a stiff breeze could KO Wlad, but for all his faults, a very big man in Wach landed a very hard punch right on his chin and Wlad was savvy enough to not get hit with another one. He could still move his head and block the rest of the punches even though he got clocked very well while low on stamina.

What Wlad also has over Lewis (majorly) is consistency and discipline. Wlad can be expected to show up in top shape and take his opponent seriously. Lewis, not so much.

        Wlad's footwork is excellent.

Vitali seldom holds -- watch a few of his fights.

He holds FAR less than someone like Clay, who clinched all the time.

Vitali has also never been as reliant on the jab as Wlad is.

You obviously have no idea what you're talking about.

          GREEN K

Lewis was only sporadically interested in getting in top shape, and against someone like Rahman, it cost him.

            Excellent.. far from it.
Your excuse for holding, is "he holds far less than someone who clinches all the time"
Vitali does jab as nearly as enough as Wlad... Wow your arguments are pathetic.

Joe's defences include weak opponents because he cleaned up all the strong ones and there was noone left to fight, but Klit has weak opponents because thats how he started and how he carried on. What else was Louis going to do once he'd beat everyone, vacate and retire because he was just too good?

You should just leave this thread now.

If you're going to put Baer, Marcianno and Braddock into Joe's era you may as well put Evander, Toney and Mercer into the Klitschko era.

And Braddock was nothing. He was a feel good story, just the Corrie Sanders of his time. The old fighters were for the most part a bunch of ugly brawlers. Jack Dempsey pretty much threw a tantrum when Gene Tunney started fighting on the outside.

Galento may of been crude and liked his food but he hit like a truck, his left hook was deadly.

                    Adamek?

In their second fight, Dempsey knocked down Tunney and he didn't get off the canvas until 13 seconds later.

Dempsey beat Tunney! It was only due to the incompetent referee that Tunney has that fight as a W on his record.
