You people are so ignorant its beyond ridiculous! Size is not the end all in the division its skill and heart!
George Forman was listed at 6'4" 235lbs at his best but could go up to 250 easily.
Ali at 6'3 1/2" could move and throw punches off that motion that the Klitz bros could NEVER react to.
What good is reach once its negated by moving inside? Because these modern era "ordinary (from ANY country) fighters won't commit to going in on the Wlad doesn't mean that Marciano wouldn't be pressing him ALL night long. They never faced the intensity levels that Dempsey Marciano, Frazier, Tyson, Holyfield would put on them. What the hell is their size going to do once these men are inside them? Don't tell me that their jab and reach can work all night because their jabs and combination punching is "Ordinary" they are NOT extremely accurate!!! Get off the size illusion and learn what the proper balance when throwing punches is ALL about. They do a terrible job at that (Joe Louis they're not) their awkward on the move and when they throw a right hand they step over their front foot almost all the time!!
These are ordinary times with below average competitors in the heavy division these are FACTS if you know anything about techniques and heart!!
I'm not getting down on the Klitz Bros because their doing what they need to do and are successfull but when fans think that these two guys can compete and actually dominate fighters from ANY era that have better techniques better methods and more determination you need to back off and learn!!
Theres right & wrong ways to throw punches and move and be defensive minded and the Bros are NOT great at what they do. Its on film right in front of you to compare. Watch them throw combinations then watch Louis throw a jab then cross then hook the body! Theres a slight difference between the two.....................if you can't see it you don't understand skill levels! Ray

      What utter horse****.

The Klitschkos have forgotten more about fighting than you ever knew, pal.

By your logic Michael Grant, Julius Long, Marcellus Brown, Lance Whitaker, Jameel McCline, Tony Thompson, and a host of others the same size or larger than the Klitschkos should have been cleaning up.

They have size, and they don't need skill, so what happened?

The argument that the Klitschkos win because they have height and weight advantages on all their opponents has been debunked so often I'm surprised anyone resorts to it anymore.

Haye's got way too much power for Spinks.

if size isnt an important factor, then why bother having weight classes lol.of course it isnt the end all.bottom line is there have been plenty tall boxers.nothing is special about the klitschos size.bottom line is they can fight, while other tall guys like grant, long couldnt

and if you think that somebody is just gonna have a cakewalk with these guys cause you feel there era is weak, then you need to learn.joe louis fought in the absolute worst era of hw's yet you want to praise his competition.lol

call a spade a spade.hw is a historically weak division.and in joe loius reign,it was as bad as it ever was

spinks ko'd cooney and beat holmes, both of whom were bigger and hit harder than haye.haye also got ko'd ,and dropped by much lighter puncher than spinks.spinks would not be intimidated by haye like he was tyson, nor would haye come out guns blazing like tyson did either

Wlads speed isn't that great, footwork ain't that great, skill ain't that great and chin is no where close to his brother's. I give the fact Vitali has a chin, but is slow, and not much skill in throwing jab, jab, straight, and hold.

call a spade what the fcuk? Louis weak era? Baer, Schmeling, Braddock, JL Lewis, Farr, Conn, Walcott, Charles, Marciano. Not one Klit opponent comes close to these guys apart from the Lewis loss. Joe's defences include weak opponents because he cleaned up all the strong ones and there was noone left to fight, but Klit has weak opponents because thats how he started and how he carried on. What else was Louis going to do once he'd beat everyone, vacate and retire because he was just too good?

You should just leave this thread now.
