Let’s be honest pacquiao is somewhat active and floyd is somewhat retired and is still getting more attention than manny. Floyd will be talked about more than manny but as far as who would be liked more that is not even debatable.

Now obviously America has changed from Jack Johnson's time to Floyd Mayweather's time but what has oddly stayed the same is white people still despise the loud, brash, ****y, black fighter. That fighter usually generates the most revenue because the majority of white fans pay to see that fighter lose. That is the fighter that is most remembered. You all know this.
Just like Johnson, Ali, and Tyson, Floyd no matter how much current posters hate that reality. Floyd defined the era. He was the most known fighter. He was the most polarizing fighter. He is the fighter most of the boxers from the following era pattern themselves after. He was the cash cow. He was the face of the sport.
Just look at this thread so far. The 2 posters before me that claimed Manny would be more remembered post about Floyd more than any other fighter.
Floyd is from a lineage of ultra talented African American fighters, we know we will see 1 or 2 generational talents from this sub-breed, he also comes from a family of mid-west fighters who had a rough upbringing...so his story is very interesting but not unique. His achievements are amazing but again SRR and some of his predecessors have had similar feats. It's almost expected every generation.
Between the two of them, I can see Manny being the one who has multiple movies made after him, but anyway they'll both be remembered that's for sure. I think what they do after boxing may actually have quite an impact too.

Floyd defined the era and he will be the one more people talk about.

nobody is making more threads about floyd... they're pretty much equal.. when one bad thread gets made about floyd, one bad thread will automatically follow for manny! stop reach bruhhh!

I know the thing on NSB is to minimize the impact Floyd has had. He is the highest grossing fighter ever. EVER. When Jack Johnson left the sport, he was the same thing. He is also the consensus best of the era-that matters as well.
People have an opinion about Floyd, negative or positive. He is polarizing. Polarizing athletes-which tend to be the loud, brash, c0cky black athletes-get remembered.

Manny is already being recognized along side the greatest boxers that ever lived so of course its gonna be Manny Pacquiao.
Floyd was just a show and his legacy is more known now than before. Plus to one of the greats what you do outside the ring as well as inside cements a legacy.
Floyd hitting fans. Threatening his fans. beating up his kids mommy and sending her out on a stretcher. using illegal IVs and arrogant attitude will make him very easy to forget.

When people post about Manny they post mostly about his fights or the upcoming fights. As I posted they talk about what Floyd drives, wears or how he interacts with fans. Even an idiot like yourself should be able to get the difference.
Stop trying to make them equal when they are not.

Floyd.
He took Mannys soul, fought everyone, and reigned as p4p King for years. He will be the face that defines his era between ODLH (previous era),and Fury (next era).

Roberto Duran has had more movies made about him then Leonard, he is Panamanian and was nuts
Jake Lamotta, another example even though SRR had s far superior career, because Lamotta was insane. Tyson, similar.
In terms of money, there has always been a fighter who raises the bar until someone else comes and breaks records due to inflation etc etc that type of thing doesnt hold up.
As I said apart from some baby mama drama, and extreme wealth Floyd's had a relatively normal life and we've seen those things in the past anyway, the wealth thing "money" persona is really it, and he puts that on to sell tickets before a fight. His career has been pretty much drama free too, he dominated for the most part, relatively speaking not much adversity, again this is a credit to his ability, dedication, and consistency.
Manny has more things about him that will stand the test of time. The rivalries, the losses, the returns, Freddie Roach. He will 100% get a Hollywood movie, no doubt in my mind, and probably multiple
Anyway we'll see in 20 years

why do you think they talk about floyd's clothes, cars, watches? because that's what he is bragging about for them to talk about!!! geezus!!! if manny went and bought a $18 million watch and post it on his social media, people will talk about that too!!!
you want people to talk about the good things that floyd does like manny? well, go tell floyd to go and something good instead of flaunting his money so people can talk about something else!! geezus!!!
