Superficial damage doesnt tell you about brain damage, spinal damage, skimmers can mess your skin up. Golovkin is an old man and will recover slow, canelo is prime and will recover quick. The real damage comes from getting your head snapped. Im pretty sure that single right hand from Golovkin loosened something in Canelo's head, that punch went right through him.

Depends on how you look at it. If you're going on head shots, Triple G blasted Canelo with some sweat flying shots.

Nuthugging Canelo in round 3? What does that even mean? It was a close round that i thought Canelo won by landing the harder shots. The only clear rounds Golovkin won were 10 and 11. A blind man could see Golovkin was the one taking most of the clean hard shots in the fight.

Punishment is relative. Just because Canelo's face holds up better to bruising means very little. It's been proven that he got hit way, way more in the face/head. There's no way around that.

Since we're talking about this, when has Canelo's face ever been more damaged against an opponent than In the GGG fights? The answer is NONE. Including against Floyd.
