  • Socialized healthcare vs very expensive high deductible US healthcare

    Pros and cons..

My biggest complain with US healthcare is you pay hundreds of $$ every month. If you go to a doctor if you got a flu or whatever, you will pay upto $3000 depending on your deductible before insurance pay their part. What kind of racket is this? Even car insurance dont have deductible this high.

I like the part you can choose whoever doctor or specialist you want and go anytime without needing referral. So if you saw an incompetent or rude doctor, you can choose not to see him again. Not sure if its like that in socialized health care

It's a shame that some families here can go bankrupt if someone gets cancer or even something less severe than that.

Especially when many of the the contributing factors to developing many diseases are completely out of their control.

This is one of the only serious issues I agree with Democrats, the far lefty ones with. Every single developed nation in the world from, all of Europe to Canada, Australia, Japan, and South Korea, have some sort of universal healthcare. It's about time USA begins transitioning to either a Public Option or fullblown Medicare for all.

We spend nearly 20% on our healthcare system in its current form, while the rest of the world spends about 8-10% of their GDP on healthcare. Something is seriously not working, and my best guess is, besides Insurance companies, and pharma companies losing out big, there are also a lot of people employed with both sectors, which would make the transition to Medicare extremely painful for all of the folks who would lose their jobs.

Healthcare effects me much more than someone like you who'd probably get it for free if you were to migrate here.

I paid for health insurance up there and never used it once. Got some free cream and a female doctor looking at my skin one time for eczema or psoriasis which didn't add up to amount I paid over the years. I was suppose to go see a specialist but I wasn't gonna pay no outrageous fee so I didn't and just use dove soap and lotion and I was all good after that.

The Americans I use to hang with didn't have insurance. So don't run your mouth unless you ask, Big Belly Bwoy!

Well then you know how bad the healthcare system is. You pay monthly premiums only to pay on top of them when you visit a doctor or specialist.

What kind of insurance cost $15. Even obamacare dont cost that low.

Its worse if you dont have employer. Its like $500 for single or $1000 for family PER MONTH and still got like $2000 or $3000 deductible.
Better off saving that money and pay your doctor cash. Catastrophic event like accident would bankrupt you though without insurance.

I never paid when I visited that doctor so I wouldn't know.

                    I didn't pay it monthly.

It won't change as long as you keep voting the way you do.
