i cant prove it, of course i cant but its damn suspicious. a guy fails a test, and immediately alongside the announcement (from a supposedly objective source) theres a ready made excuse, immediately the sanctioning bodies defend canelo. Does this ever happen with lower profile fighters? I cant prove them consistently bad judges involved in canelo fights have been paid off but it damn looks suspicious too. These organisations are meant to deliver the result not come out with some bull**** that its in the range tainted meat. How the **** do they know its tainted meat? They dont and its not there place to say it. Theres not a 'tainted meat' category on these tests ffs lol, its quite conceivable that he could be at the end of a course of clenbuterol thats still in the system. Just cause its low doesnt mean its automatically meat or why the ****s it considered a positive result in the first place? They are meant to be completely objective thats my point. Its fishy as hell and i cant be the only one who thinks that. And to barratt too, they havent risked millions because theyve delivered the result ultimately but have been paid/pressured to put a spin on it.

1. I am not aware of if it came with a ready made excuse. In all likelihood, he was notified about the failed test first with nothing else. Before Golden Boy announced the failed test, they would have contacted the lab with their reasoning for it, and the statement of the failed test was fed to the media along with Eichner's statement because it is true that it's a valid excuse, as precedence has shown.

2. This is much ado about nothing. The lab found this very early. Canelo moved camp immediately. There are 2 months before the fight. If he pops again, he has no excuses to fall back on. I don't see the issue.

tbh, in 2018 no high profile fighters should be getting caught up in this. it's not a new thing, and pleading ignorance just doesn't cut it. he knows he's gonna be tested ahead of an upcoming ppv fight, and we're supposed to believe he's just gonna risk eating contaminated meat?

one of 2 things...he cheated and is using this excuse to bail himself out, or he simply ignored the contaminated meat issue knowing he'd get a pass if he came up positive. I don't understand why people brush it off as if he couldn't possibly avoid eating contaminated meat.
