There's really no better or worse. WBC lets it's fighters like Stevenson hold belts hostage for years and avoid mandatories. They have no morals too, they support drug cheats and keep making ridiculous belts for any event.

WBA have about 2 or 3 world champs in a single division, ridiculous. So you have guys like Charr and Fielding running around calling themselves a world champion.

IBF is good at enforcing mandatory challengers or be stripped, but their top 15 is made up of Lithuanian carpenters in most divisions.

WBO is similar to IBF but as long as you fight people in the top 100 from time to time, that's enough.
Yep. They are all pretty damn bad and pretty damn stupid but they are all we have. You might as well just pick your favorite fighter and if he keep winning call him champ.

That's not true. The WBC is a merger of the IBU, NSC & NYSAC, which all predate the NBA. The WBC has the most history and significance. It consolidated most of the historically recognized world titles. Meanwhile, after the NBA morphed into the WBA, the IBF and WBO splintered off from the WBA. So the WBA really only represents 33% of 25% of the original historical world titles while the WBC represents 100% of 75% of the original historical world titles.

So with the WBC representing 75% of the original championships and the WBA only representing 8%, I'd say it's pretty clear which belt has the historical lineage.
