My guess is this fight is a stepping stone to one of PBCs champions. They aren't going to let Bud walk right in and get a shot at Spence. So, he will need to fight a couple of guys who are still on the PBC roster so that PBC can squeeze whatever revenue is left in guys like Callazo. Without taking these fights there is likely little to no chance he gets a shot at Spence.

Lets face it, if he fought Brook or Peterson he'd be accused of fighting Spence's leftovers. If he fought Khan he gets criticized for fighting a guy who is rapidly declining and a glass chin, Berto is a punching bag, and Vargas would be a good fight but maybe he's not interested, he seems to want a Broner rematch, and losing to Bud may put that in jeopardy.

Crawford seems all good with getting paid to fight low level fights.
He shouldn't be in the top 5 p4p if all he is giving us are these mis-matches.

Besputin and Kavaliauskas are better than every PBC 147er apart from Spence. I heard that Adames is real good too though I'm yet to see him.

Top Ranks 147ers = underrated
PBC 147ers = overrated

Top rank should sign Lejarraga, Butaev, Golub, Stanionis - then they woukd be way past PBC.
