Why is he always trying so hard to impress other people?

All his taped interactions involve him boasting or trying to make people in awe of him/his money.

This tactic is always doomed no matter how rich you are.


Notice how badly he takes it if his narrative is ever challenged even slightly. The dude loses his damn mind whenever he is heckled. XD

Good question. I've never been a big fan, but I've changed a little over the years. Mayweather made lots of great "Money" moves, hence the nickname. And in the ring, he's solid without question. His defense and timing were excellent. And he made smart moves like being on WWE and crossing over for more fan support. I always liked his commercial with the old dude that narrates a bunch of crime documentaries where they're tapping on laptops. Funny stuff. LOL

And Mayweather could be pretty classy toward people when he wanted to do so. I posted an interview on here where he seemed really cool to me. I definitely don't hate him or most likely any fighter for that matter. The only people I would hate is somebody who affected me directly and there's not one boxer who's done that. So in the end, is he my favorite fighter to watch? No. Do I think he's the best of all time? No. But do I respect him and what he's done in and out of the ring? Definitely. This sport made a lot of money because people came out to see him and plenty of those people did NOT want to see him lose although many did. He beat lots of champions and won lots of titles and made it to 50-0 and I mean how can you not respect that?

And let's be clear. Just because a fan doesn't kiss the guy's ass doesn't mean the fan hates him at all. May just not be his cup of tea. I mean, if you're a fan of aggressive brawlers, are you likely to be a May fan? Probably not. No one is ever going to please everybody. That's why we have tons of different boxing styles and personalities. Keeps the sport interesting.
