Wilder/Ortiz
Spence/Ocampo
Broner/Vargas
Those are the three fights with higher ratings this year. These numbers are what Showtime has been doing

I don't think all these random guys are products like Roman was. Obviously the fights should be more competitive, but thats at all weights that that should be the goal.In all seriousness, I will address this on the pod, but HBO's rating is embarrassing and is part of a poor lead in to fight week on the Canelo/GGG 2 promotion on the whole. All parties at fault here, including the ones who think they're running for office

This isn't even about competing cards between HBO and Showtime. HBO should have planted their flag with a big show on the 8th for so many reasons. They should have put the Jacobs/Dchenko fight there in NY and never given Showtime a chance. Boosts 24/7 numbers and PPV promotion

It isn’t. Very complicated & twitter not the place. Before a PPV tho, there should be a steady build. Classic model is core fan card two weeks out, big network show one week out, rising star on the replay week after. Accomplishes so many objectives this way.

@linusesq best recent example is 2015 Matthysse/Provodnikov then Klitchko/Jennings then May/Pac, then Canelo/Kirkland. Would have built PPV buys for any show much less that one. Replay builds rising star, tho Canelo prob already there. HBO gets a % of PPV which helps budget

Don't forget to post the head to head purses. Showtime fighters probably paid 5 times as much as the HBO fighters.
