  • Carl Froch: "It's Always On My Mind To Come Out Of Retirement For One Last Fight"

Not sure if this one was posted back in December. It's a promotional video for a Sony Smartwatch, an interview with Carl Froch.

Just a small line in the interview here, Froch says the following:

"..And there's also big talk about me potentially coming out of retirement. It's always on the back of my mind. One last fight.."

He's then cut off by the clueless interviewer before he can finish the sentence.. "So who knows.. To be continued".

And there's this tweet from a few days ago too:

Coming out of retirement talk is all well and good, until it finally settles in the mind that doing so means heading back onto that hard diet, training 6-8 hours per day in camp, taking all that pounding in sparring, and cutting 20lbs-30lbs off of the frame to get fight fit.

You add that the extended layoff will likely also manifest in the reflexes/boxing brain not being as sharp as it use to be, and folks get discouraged pretty quick.
