if Mr " anyone from 154-168 " was totally unwilling to negotiate on weight with the 153lb SUPERSTAR Cotto..... then there is absolutely nothing whatsoever to indicate that he would have accepted a fight with Mayweather at 154

knowledgeable posters KNOW what would have happened to Golovkin AT 154 with Mayweather

This is just a video you dug up to hate on GGG for about the thousandth time. It's not famous or infamous. I listened careful to the video and you are a liar as usual. GGG never said 154 to 168 was easy or anthing remotely like that. If his trainer said that then put the blame on his trainer and quit quoting GGG as saying something he never said.. Trainers talk a lot of BS all the time. GGG wasn't even listening to what Sanchez was saying and again GGG sure as hell never said 154 to 168 was easy or anything like that. Robert Garcia said Mikey was going to KO Spence but Mikey never said that. Trainers like to brag. As for the fight with Mayweather, Mayweather was the 154 pound champ for two different belts and GGG offered to drop to 154 and fight Mayweather for his 154 pound titles and Mayweather turned the fight down flat with no discussion of any details. End of story. About this time Ward had also offered to fight Mayweather at 160 pounds but you didn't know that or forgot that. As for why GGG did not fight at 154 that's a stupid question. First he was a natural middleweight in his 30s and 154 was not easy for him to make. 2nd he was already the middleweight champion trying to unify. As for becoming the mandatory and forcing Mayweather or Canelo to fight him is just as stupid. Mayweather held those 154 pound belts for years and was never made to defend them even once and passed on all mandatory defenses. GGG was once the WBC mandatory for Canelo's middleweight title and Canelo willingly gave up the WBC belt rather than fight GGG. When you are a superstar like Canelo and Mayweather you fight whoever you want whenever you want and neither wanted to fight GGG at the time.

GGG had his first fight in the US in 2012. He was still a nobody in 2013.

Use your brain to remember. Not to mention he had just signed a deal with HBO and floyd moved to showtime in 2013

First quit lying and calling him mr anyone from 154 to 168 because he never in his life ever said that. Boxers can't be held responsible for what loud mouth trainers say. The offer to Mayweather was documented and written about and it was to be at 165 pounds for Mayweather's belts and Mayweather's father rejected the offer saying GGG was to big. Cotto the catchweight king and not a superstar has nothing to do with the purposed Mayweather GGG fight. Cotto was the WBC middleweight champion. Just because Cotto won and defended the world middleweight championship at a catchweight doesn't make it right. GGG refused to fight a unification fight with Cotto at a damn catchweight and rightfully so. You must be a newby and not around when this happened. I remember it well and Mayweather was offered a fight for his titles at the standard 154 pounds and rejected the fight.

Sorry for the mistake. the fight with Mayweather vs GGG was to be at 154 pounds not 165 pounds.

Golovkin starches Floyd at 154 but that fight wasn’t happening anymore than 23 year old Canelo at 154.

It’s not a duck however, Floyd is a welter and Golovkin is a MW. It would be above and beyond the call for Floyd to fight a prime MW.

I agree and I am not saying Mayweather ducked GGG. As you say everybody calls Mayweather out and he can't fight them all. Ward also called Mayweather out at 160 about this time. Mayweather concentrated on 147 and didn't fight above there which is fine because he is a welterweight. Mayweather beat Cotto for his belt at 154 and he beat Canelo at 152 for his belt. These were the belts GGG wanted to fight Mayweather for at 154 but Mayweather went years without ever defending these two belts until he retired after the Berto fight.

That's the way I see. The offer was made and the fight was turned down because Mayweather was a welterweight. Not a duck, Mayweather fought the best welterweights which is all he should have to do.

Knowledgeable posters do know what would have happened. GGG would have knocked Mayweather out. Mayweather knew and his dad knew it. The offer for Mayweather to fight GGG at 154 for Mayweather's two 154 pound titles was made and rejected by Mayweather. It was all documented and written about but you weren't around then were you newby.

Not sure ggg could even have made 154...but there’s no way in hell mayweather goes near him. Floyd was very selective of who he fought and when at that weight...it’s not his natural weight.
