Mayweather has a record of 26 consecutive wins in world title fights (10 by KO), 23 wins (9 KOs) in lineal title fights, 24 wins (7 KOs) against former or current world titlists, 12 wins (3 KOs) against former or current lineal champions, and 2 wins (1 KO) against International Boxing Hall of Fame inductees.

    Just face the facts homie.

Floyd retired in 2015 at 38.

In 2015, Thurman's best wins were:

guerrero - floyd left over, fought while Floyd was fighting Pacquiao
      - a shot quintana in 2012
      - fall 2015 he was fighting an ancient collazo

Berto and Maidana were more well known than Thurman. Thurman wasnt chit until his close decisions over Porter and Garcia in 2016 and 2017.

You could say same thing about Spence while back.
Thurman was young and dangerous. Same way Spence was and now more proven

        Works both ways

This is my biggest problem with thurman. He talks an awful lot of sheet from his PBC script book. Talking about wars, going to to toe, going for quick stoppages and then doing the complete opposite.

Thurman was no more accomplished than Berto in 2015. In fact, Berto just stopped a younger Lopez. Thurman got put on queer street by older 2019 Lopez.

Thurman accomplished jack chit in fall 2015.

Probably you could make a case for that if you ignore the fact that Floyd was just plain old. Floyd barely beat Maidana, the same Maidana who was virtually shut out by Alexander.

Thurman almost certainly beats 40 year old Pac but if this were prime Pac, this version of Thurman would get embarrassed.

Floyd barely beat Maidana after his amazing performance against Canelo. Did Floyd age so much un months or was Maidana just that good? And that was Maidana with pillow gloves.

Canelo was already a middleweight by then. He could still, barely, drain to 154 but 152 was too much for him. Canelo has learned a lot from Floyd.

I still don’t see or get the time line that Mayweather was supposed to fight Thurman. Everyone and their mama always like to use Mayweather’s name and claimed he ducked them, but the reality is they are probably one of 5/6 boxers who had to be in around becoming his actual opponent. Amir Khan has more of a chance or claim than Thurman, this is like Khan running around claimed both Mayweather and Pac ducked him.

The embarrassing part is he cherry pick berto to make him looked good but he couldn't even ko a bum. Floyd could have fought some decent opponent for his last fight but he choose the worst of them all and then proclaimed himself a TBE. LMAO.
